Big changes

With just about 2.5 months until graduation, I can't believe it's almost here. G-day. Pinning ceremony is December 13th, and I'm hoping that my good friend and co worker jenny will be able to do the honor.
I have been talking with my manager about a position that may be available for me once I graduate. Of course I will practice as GN (graduate nurse) until I take my boards in jan/feb and become an official RN.
For 5 years now I have been working my tail off for this. The endless class hours, the numerous tutoring sessions to get the best GPA possible, the time away from my family, the grueling classes where I sat 9 months pregnant while trying to stay awake and learn about micro organisms. So much. So much to get to where I am almost at. What a journey.
I can't wait to start my career as a nurse. I love helping people. I always have. And I love working with women and children. This is it!
Besides the fact that I will be so relieved that school will be over, I have been seriously flirting and daydreaming how our lives are going to change financially. We have been living pay check to paycheck since the beginning. Once I start working as an RN I will be making 3x as much as my monthly bills are, and that's just working part time. I don't dream about all the stuff I will be able to afford, but just with the peace of mind that I won't have to worry about what's in the bank. Not checking my account balance everyday, trying to make sure I don't overdraft. Not having to budget down to the last dollar for groceries and gas money. Not feeling guilty when I buy myself new clothes or get a massage. That kind if relief. Life is about to change, big time. And I couldn't be more excited.
